Design Lens is the startup studio and idea laboratory of Daniel Kushner (he/him), an entrepreneur based in Marin County, California, with 20 years of experience building design-driven companies.
With an industrial design background, Daniel served as design leader at IDEO where he brought human-centered design to Fortune 100 executive teams, creating award-winning products and services for brands like Bank of America, Samsung, Marriott, Steelcase, and Gap Inc.
As an entrepreneur, Daniel applies that same human-centered design process to successfully launch category-leading startups like MONO, Trustworthy, and Tandem. Whether physical product or SAAS, mass market or niche, what unifies Daniel’s work is thoughtful design, iconic brands, and world class teams.
Daniel’s work has received numerous recognitions, including awards from The Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA), BusinessWeek, and The University of the Arts. He has taken companies through the life cycle of launching, fundraising, scaling, and exiting.
Daniel currently serves on several advisory boards while continuing to work as an entrepreneur from his home studio in Novato, California.
